March 13, 2014, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences organized a seminar, hosted by Vice President of SARI Professor Sun Yuhan, with a keynote lecture by Professor Colin E. Snape from the University of Nottingham. More than 40 Researchers and students from ShanghaiTech University and SARI attended the seminar.

China CO2 Utilization Technology Assessment Conference was successfully held in Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI) from December 19 to December 21, 2013.

On November 15th 2013, the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology delegation, headed by President Dr. Kyoung-Hoan Na, paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI), Chinese Academy of Sciences. President of SARI Dr. Feng Songlin received the KITECH delegation, accompanied by International Cooperation Department representatives and relevant researchers. The MoU Agreement Signing and SARI-KITECH Joint R&DB Lab Unveiling Ceremony were held at SARI.

On November 15th 2013, the Washington State Delegation from the United States visited SARI. Vice President of SARI Prof. Sun Yuhan received the delegation and showed them around Low Carbon Center, accompanied by related researchers.

On November 15th 2013, a delegation from Shell led by VP Innovation Dr. Thijs Jurgens visited SARI. Vice President of SARI Prof. Sun Yuhan received the delegation and held a meeting with the visitors, accompanied by relevant researchers from the Low Carbon Center.

On November 13th, a delegation from the Technical Advisory Council of BP Group (BP TAC) visited Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI) and ShanghaiTech University. Dr. Jiang Mianheng, President of CAS Shanghai Branch and Chairman of the Executive Committee of ShanghaiTech, met with the delegation. Dr. Sun Yuhan and Dr. Huang Weiguang, Vice Presidents of SARI, Dr. Yin Jie, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of ShanghaiTech and other representatives from the university and the institute joined the meeting.

On September 15, 2013, Sir Paul Nurse, President of the Royal Society, Britain's national academy of sciences, and Tony Cheetham, Vice President of the Royal Society, paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Huang Weiguang, Vice President of SARI, received the Royal Society delegation, with relevant researchers from the Health Science Division of SARI attending the meeting.

September 4th, 2013—At the invitation of Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch, éCOLE POLYTECHNIQUE FéDéRALE DE LAUSANNE (EPFL) visited Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI-CAS), received by Deputy Dean of General Office of CAS Shanghai Branch Mr. Yang Zhenghua and representatives of SARI’s International Cooperation Department.

August. 22nd, 2013----Mr. John MacArthur, Vice President of Gas Technology for Shell and Mr. Jing Xudong, Manager for External Innovation R&D (Asia) visited Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI). Vice President of SARI Sun Yuhan received the Shell delegation and held technical exchanges with them, along with principal investigators of Low Carbon Conversion Center.

August 8th, 2013—Vice President of Boeing research & technology Mr. Don Winter, Vice President of Boeing research & technology China Dr. Dongyang Wu and Vice President of Digital Aviation Technology of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Mr. Alan Johnson visited Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences. President of SARI Dr. Feng Songlin received the Boeing delegation, accompanied by Dr. Xu Haoyu, Director of the Joint Lab for Aviation Connectivity Technology and other related researchers.

On April 18 the Global Night of Networking Shanghai for Drexel alumni was successfully held in Drexel-SARI Center.

On March 28th 2013, a delegation from Royal Dutch Shell, led by Executive Committee Member and Director of Projects and Technology Dr. Matthias Bichsel, Executive Chairman of Shell Companies in China Mr. Huibert Vigeveno, and Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President Innovation and R&D Mr. Gerald Schotman paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and attended the SARI-Shell second-batch Frontier Projects signing ceremony. CAS Shanghai Branch President Jiang Mianheng, Executive Vice President Zhu Zhiyuan, Vice Presidents of SARI Sun Yuhan and Jiang Biao attended the event.
