On March 22, 2012, a delegation led by Mr. Kubota Akira, Sony Corporation EVP and Sony China Chairman, paid a visit to SARI and attended the 2nd council meeting of SARI-SONY Image and Video Processing Joint Lab. Prof. JIANG Mianheng, President of CAS Shanghai Branch, received Mr. Kubota Akira and held a meeting with the SONY delegation.

On Dec.29, 2011, Prof. HU Qiang, expert of microalgae from Arizona State University( ASU) visited SARI.

On December 5th 2011, a delegation from Idaho National Laboratory (INL), led by Director John Grossenbacher, paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Dr. Zhu Zhiyuan, Executive Vice President of CAS Shanghai Branch, Dr. Sun Yuhan and Dr. Huang Weiguang, Vice Presidents of SARI, received the INL delegation.

On November 30, 2011, a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) regarding Polygeneration Projects of CO2 Conversion and Application Technology was signed among Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI), Total Energie Development S.A.S (TED) and Shanxi Lu’An Coal Co., (Lu'An) in TED's headquarters in Paris, France.

On November 18, the initial projects launching ceremony of Shanghai Clean Energy and New Material Research Center (SCENMRC) and CO2 Solutions Seminar among Accelergy Corporation, Elion Resources Group Company and Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI) was held at Elion's headquarters in Beijing.

On November 14, 2011, The “Frontier Sciences” Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Shell Global Solutions International B.V. regarding the research and development of low carbon energy technologies, followed by the Signing Ceremony of the Four-Party Collaboration Agreement on the joint development of new-generation clean energy among SARI, Shenhua Group, Lu'An Group and Shell.

On Oct.21st, a delegation from Institute of Economic and Commercial Sciences(ESSEC) visited SARI. Prof. FENG Songlin, President of SARI received the delegation. Representatives from China Mobile attended the conference.

Shanghai, October 19, 2011 - Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Drexel University today signed the Memorandum of Understanding and Collaboration Agreement to jointly establish the Drexel-SARI Center.

On September 9 2011, a delegation from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa, led by Chairman of the Board Francis Petersen and CEO Sibusiso Sibisi, paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

August 23, 2011, Bertrand-Marc Allen, President of Boeing China, and Al Bryant, Vice President of Boeing China, paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI-CAS). FENG Songlin, President of SARI, received the Boeing delegation and held a meeting with the visitors.

August 5, 2011, Paul T. Anastas, the Assistant Administrator for EPA's Office of Research and Development (ORD) and the Science Advisor to the Agency, paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI-CAS). Prof. SUN Yuhan, Vice President of SARI, received Paul T. Anastas and held a meeting with the delegation.

On July 26, 2011, Prof. Yury Gogotsi, Director of A.J. Drexel Nanotechnology Institute and Distinguished University Professor and Trustee Chair of Materials Science and Engineering, paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
