International Workshop on China’s Carbon Emissions organized by Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI-CAS) and Harvard University was successfully held from June 7th to June 9th 2015 in Shanghai.

Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI-CAS) and Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) signed a MoU regarding the future collaboration in energy and environment sector, including but not limited to, CO2 Capture, Utilization and Storage, Algae and Biomass, Membrane materials and chemical catalysis.

Dr. Li Xiaopeng from Low-Carbon Conversion Center of SARI was awarded The 2015 International Electrochemical Society (ISE) “Travel Award for Young Electrochemists” recently.

A delegation led by Shell CTO Mr. Yuri Sebregts visited SARI and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering “Shell Award for Excellence in Energy Research and Innovation” on April 22, 2015.

The first COPSEE International Conference of Big Data, co-organized by SEARCH’XPR and CAS Data, hosted by Shanghai Advanced Research Institution, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was held in the conference hall of SARI, in Nov 22.

After the unveiling ceremony, Dr. Na and the KITECH team visited the Joint R&DB Lab and the Opto-Electronic Engineering Center, and discussed with the researchers on some research topics.
