Jiang Yuhai’s cooperation studies were published on the Physical Review Letters
date: 2013-09-18

Intra-molecular energy transfer and energy redistribution are the most elementary reaction processes in chemical physics and biological chemistry. Prof. Jiang Yuhai in  Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SARI-CAS), cooperated with Max Planck Institute (MPI), successfully observed time-resolved interatomic Coulombic decay (ICD)  for the very first time using the advanced Free-Electron Lasers at Hamburg (FLASH). The ICD process has important applications for high-density and high-energy radiations, which has been attracting more and more attention for physicists and chemists for many years.

Experimental results are published on the latest world-leading physical journal- Physical Review Letters (Phys. Rev. Lett.111093402 (2013)).  Prof. Jiang Yuhai achieves fruitful performances by international cooperation since he came back from abroad and this is the second time for him to publish their cooperation results on Physical Review Letters.
