JIANG Mianheng Inspected Shanghai Pudong Science and Technology Park

Prof. Jiang Mianheng, Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), inspected Shanghai Pudong Science and Technology Park on November 12th with the accompany of Prof. Hua Renchang, Engineering Construction Commander of Pudong Science and Technology Park, Prof. Zhang Xu, Vice President of CAS Shanghai Branch and Mr. Peng Song, Vice Governor of Shanghai Pudong New Area. Prof. Jiang was also accompanied by Director of Shanghai Advanced Research Institute Prof. Feng Songlin and Vice Director Sun Yuhan for the inspection.
Located in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, CAS Pudong Science and Technology Park is an application and research base of high-technology jointly established by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Shanghai Municipal government. It is guided by the needs of sustainable economic and social development of the country while relying on the interdisciplinary studies in order to enhance China's domestic innovation capability. New Technology Base in the Park will be completed at the end of 2010.
After visiting the New Technology Base, Prof. Jiang Mianheng carefully inquired the preparation work of moving into the new site and provided specific instructions. Prof. Jiang et al. also visited the site for integrated demonstration to be held in the new park at the end of this year and they were satisfied with the preparation progress.
