Dr. Li Xiaopeng from Low-Carbon Conversion Center of SARI was awarded The 2015 International Electrochemical Society (ISE) “Travel Award for Young Electrochemists” recently.
Dr. Li got his PhD degree from Martin Luther University in 2013 and has started working as an assistant researcher in Low-Carbon Conversion Center since August 2013. His main research areas are electrocatalytic hydrogen production and photoelectrochemical water splitting research. He has published more than 30 papers on world renowned journals, such as Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, ChemCatChem etc. The basic research project led by Dr. Li was supported by SARI’s first Interdisciplinary Youth Innovation Fund.
Founded in 1949, International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) is one of the most extensive and highest level of academic organization, which owns members from more than 70 countries and regions in the world. “Travel Award for Young Electrochemists” is jointly set up by ISE and Electrochemica Acta. Since 2006, the society selects no more than 10 young electrochemists around the world every year and funds them to attend ISE annual conference. Dr. Li was awarded because of his achievements in electrochemical energy conversion and storage. He was invited to deliver a speech in the 66th ISE annual meeting in 2015.
