On June 1, 2011, a delegation from Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor SUN Yuhan, Vice President of SARI, received the visitors and held a meeting with the delegation.

Prof. SUN extended his warm welcome to the SABIC visitors. Dr. Hatim Al-Dekhiel, Manager of Global Technology Programming, Chemicals SBU, made a brief introduction of SABIC and its business operation and strategies around the world. Prof. SUN introduced SARI’s overall development plan and research and development activities in Energy and Environment area. SABIC spoke highly of SARI’s development strategies and hoped to further discuss with SARI about possibly collaboration projects.

Relevant researchers from Low Carbon Energy Conversion Research Center of SARI joined the meeting and discussed with SABIC regarding topics of common interests.
