August 23, 2010 - BP Chief Scientist Ellen Williams and Vice President of BP China and General Manager of BP China Holdings Ltd. Grace Ren paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI) of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Shanghai, China - August 23, 2010 - BP Chief Scientist Ellen Williams and Vice President of BP China and General Manager of BP China Holdings Ltd. Grace Ren paid a visit to Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI) of Chinese Academy of Sciences . SUN Yuhan, Vice Director of SARI, received the guests, and arranged a meeting with Professor Ellen and the visiting BP team.
Prof. SUN welcomed Prof. Williams for their visit, and introduced SARI’s organizational structure and its recent research and development activities. Prof. Williams and the BP team were very impressed with Prof. SUN's presentation, and discussed with him regarding several topics of interest. BP Chief Scientist Ellen Williams then made a presentation on BP’s recent activities and its Research and Development initiatives.
Prof. SUN discussed with Prof. Williams regarding energy efficiency, smart power grids and energy environmental challenges, and they also explored the potential cooperation opportunities in the future.
After the meeting, Prof. SUN presented a gift to Ellen Williams and the BP team. Ellen Williams and the visiting team also paid a visit to the construction site of Shanghai Pu Dong Science and Technology Park.
